Komatsu 930 Hydraulic Oil Flushing

The CJC Mobile Flushing Unit was connected to the hydraulic tank on the 930 truck and the initial ISO count was 22/18/14.  After about 1 1/2 hours of flushing  the ISO code was 17/14/7 at which time they lowered the hoist and added the oil from the cylinders. The ISO then increased to a 20/15/13 and the flushing continued until it was time to send the truck back out in the field.

After about 3 1/2 hours of hot flushing the ISO was reduced to 15/12/7 approximately 32 times cleaner than when it started and much cleaner than new oil.

  1. Well done please continue to promote Kidney Looping. The filtration of Hydraulic oil has many benefits all listed in your article. The machine needed for a Komatsu 930E is to filter the Wheel Motors. The WheelMotor Oil is about 680 cSt. What machine have you developed to filter this compartment?

    1. Hi Gary,
Thanks for your comments and I am glad to hear you have had success using the CJC filtration systems. C.C.JENSEN has developed the Mobile Flushing Unit (MFU) for filtration and flushing of haul truck wheel motors, differentials, and hydraulic oil systems.

Have a look at the main webpage for the MFU that has more detailed information and case studies:

  2. I looked at your letterhead again and noticed the CJC Logo.
I bought in a CJC Unit complete with a Heater and an Automatic Water Ejector Valve. This unit is a Coalescer/Filter Cart. We can Separate Water and Oil and can achieve Better than ISO 16/13. Since this unit was purchased we have saved countless Lube 20,000 litter ISO Containers contaminated with water. It is now utilised on our UG Jumbo Drill Fleet, Kidney Looping to Remove Water and Lower the Particle Count. Component life has increased and systems run cooler plus all the other benefits that go with a maintained Hydraulic System.
I thank you for your prompt on this subject and look forward to more discussion on this subject.
    Regards, Gary Nathan
